Hayley Adams is currently a Resident in Counseling with Roanoke Valley Counseling Center, LLC.

She is knowledgeable in a wide range of presenting concerns and diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, body image and self-esteem issues, interpersonal and relationship issues and more. She is passionate about helping her client’s create meaningful change and diving deeper into their self awareness while catering to client specific goals during their healing journey.

* Medicaid and Cash paying only. $120/$100 per session. 

Hayley uses a variety of modalities. Her approach is grounded in Person-Centered therapy where she allows the client to lead the way in their counseling process and unique healing journey. She collaborates with her clients and uses unconditional positive regard and empathic understanding as they grow towards creating meaningful change. She also utilizes evidenced based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Systems Counseling approaches. Lastly, she utilizes Expressive Arts Modalities and mindfulness based techniques. She enjoys using the arts and mindfulness practices as ways to ground the client into the present moment. Hayley’s approach continues to adapt and evolve as she looks to find the approach that best fits each client’s unique needs and presenting concerns.

Hayley is passionate about helping others create change and grow towards their goals and self-understanding.

 

She knows that life can be difficult to navigate and is here to collaborate with clients in setting goals and finding what works for them. Hayley has experience working with a variety of individuals and looks forward to meeting each new client that crosses her path. She focuses on client empowerment and uses a strength based approach with each client. She is excited to meet you and walk alongside you in this counseling journey. She graduated from Virginia Tech with her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2022. She has experience working with a wide range of individuals from adolescents to adults and is interested in working with children as well. She worked as a counseling intern at Virginia Tech’s counseling center where she counselled with clients from various unique backgrounds. 


Hayley practices under the supervision of Thomas Heasley, LPC, LPC Supervisor.
